Jim brings depth of experience to Gainwell, including valuable lessons learned and best practices gained from his involvement in four major greenfield initiatives throughout his career. Most recently, he was senior vice president and CIO at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, responsible for providing overall IT vision and leadership. In that role, he led the stand-up of the IT organization and all its systems and infrastructure, enabling Ortho to operate as a standalone company. This involved planning and implementing enterprise IT systems, automating business processes and recruiting the required talent.
Jim’s more than 30-year career in information management and technology also includes overseeing worldwide IT and systems as CIO for companies such as Biomet and Harley-Davidson, and other roles in consulting, strategic planning, data center consolidation and IT transformation for various companies.
A graduate of University of Notre Dame, Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and electrical engineering. He has served on several advisory boards and boards of directors and is a speaker at vendor and industry events.
